Round table organised jointly by the Festival Mondial des Théâtres de Marionnettes and FIAMS- Festival international des arts de la marionnette à Saguenay (Canada)

Body, object, image, manipulation: at what point do we stop associating a work with the puppetry arts? A round table to reflect on some of the current challenges facing contemporary puppetry. Eminent panellists will share their points of view to introduce this moment of reflection and sharing.

Pierre-Yves Charlois, Director of the Festival Mondial de Charleville-Mézières;
Jacques Trudeau, Secretary General of UNIMA from 2008 to 2016;
Raquel Silva, Director of the Cie Pensée Invisible;
Francis Monty, Director and artist with the Cie La Pire Espèce de Montréal;
Mathieu Dochtermann, Journalist and moderator of the round table.

This event is being organised as part of the twinning between the Festival Mondial des Théâtres de Marionnettes de Charleville-Mézières and the Festival International des Arts de la Marionnette à Saguenay (FIAMS), a project supported by the Ministère des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie du Québec and the Ministère de l’Europe et des Affaires étrangères de la République Française, as part of the Commission permanente de coopération franco-québécoise (CPCFQ).

This round table is a follow-up to the one held last July at FIAMS in Saguenay, Quebec, Canada.
