Companies supported in 2022-2023
Unravel / Cie Hold Up ! France
La colère (Anger) is a work of experimentation around the opera L’Enfant et les sortilèges. It questions emotions and more specifically anger, the anger of a child and what it stems from. The show, which mixes live music, puppetry, objects, shadow and Chinese girdle, on a text written by Nancy Guilbert, is composed of 2 parts. The first part takes us into the child’s room, surrounded by his toys, as in a doll’s house. The second part takes us into a more poetic and symbolic exploration of the child’s journey. It suggests a forest, the infinite forest of his unconscious. It is there that he will really be able to access his anger and his deepest feelings and begin his initiatory quest.

Amathia / Blick Théâtre France
Amathia is the first part of a triptych entitled Se Krisis which explores the vast notion of public service, through three themes: national education, public hospitals and culture. Three essential sectors that contribute to the solidarity, social and cultural cohesion of a society. With the help of human-sized puppets, Amathia talks about these teachers, those who elbow their way through a maze of corridors lined with lockers, wear out their voices in countless classrooms, go up and down kilometers of stairs, walk through playgrounds, dodging balls and taunts…

Résurgence / Cie Sans visage – France
Resurgence explores trans-generational links and more particularly what psychoanalysts call family ghosts. How can the buried traumas of our ancestors, the family secrets, the unsaid things, have violent repercussions in the unconscious of their descendants and determine their lives. Is it a fatality? How can we free ourselves from them? It is through the work and life of the visionary poet Arthur Rimbaud, that Camille Drai, scenographer and director, has chosen to probe these invisible family links. In a strange and disturbing atmosphere, the spectator is invited to penetrate in Rimbaud’s tortured unconscious, where “I is an Other”.

Love must have an end / Yael Rasooly – Israel
The richly decadent world of 1920s-30s in Berlin and Paris is being revisited in a new show by Yael Rasooly accompanied by the Pianist Daniel Rein.
Audiences are invited to the vibrant world of the German cabaret before the rise of the Nazis to power, through the repertoire of Brecht and Weill, the Berlin cabaret songs performed by Marlena Dietrich and the poetic French chansons of Edith Piaf.
Réveil invisible / Cie Yôkaï – France
The Yôkaï Company engages in experiments questioning the border between the human and the creature, with the part of metamorphosis and inexplicable that this induces.
La cérémonie du poids / Rafi Martin – Germany
What do we liberate when we fight? Through their practice of boxing, queer people and women confront their bodies with blows. A solo with an aquapunching bag and a video creation traces the world of professional female fighters in a weight transfer ceremony.
Suzy / Cie Xannax Princesse Guerrière – France
Inspired by Suzy Storck by Magalie MOUGEL, the show questions the mechanisms of our society and our place in it. The codes that we respect daily, the existing inequalities. Can we fight them or must we simply learn to live better with them?
