Rapprochement of the World Festival of Puppets Theaters and the International Institute of Puppetry

On June 16, 2022, following the recommendations of the study ordered by the Minister for culture in September 2021 and returned by Frédéric Maurin in April 2022, the organizing association of the World Festival of Puppets Theaters of Charleville-Mézières, and the International Institute of the Puppet, have respectively adopted unanimously the following resolutions :

The creation of a prefiguration committee working to the bringing together, in a unique structure, of the International Institute of Puppetry and the World Festival of Puppets Theaters, to make a Pole of reference in puppetry arts.
The appointment of Pierre-Yves Charlois as interim director of the International Institute of Puppetry from July 17, 2022, in addition to his current position as director of the World Festival of Puppet Theaters, in order to prefigure the Pole of reference of puppetry arts.
Pierre-Yves Charlois will be assisted from September 1st, 2022 by Benoît Bavouset, who becomes assistant to the director, administrator of the National Superior School of Puppetry Arts (ESNAM).
