A season in puppetry #1

The artistic permanence in Charleville-Mézières, City of Puppetry Arts

In the happy perspective of the creation of a Reference Pole of Puppetry arts which will gather the salaried teams and the activities carried by the International Institute of the Puppet and the World Festival of the Puppet Theaters, we are happy to present you the events programmed during this first semester 2023.
Puppets, restitution of training courses by the students of the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts de la Marionnette (ESNAM), practical workshops, conferences, open day, exhibition… From January 27th to July 1st, we invite you to 18 puppet events, designed for all ages, for all desires! The puppet invests the city in all its forms, and gives us a foretaste of the huge party that we are preparing for you on the occasion of the 22nd edition of the World Festival of Puppet Theaters, which will take place from September 16 to 24.
This “Season in puppetry #1” is in the image of the extraordinary artistic abundance which irrigates Charleville-Mézières. It constitutes the prelude of what the Reference Pole  will implement, thanks to the unfailing support of its public partners (Ministry of Culture, DRAC Grand Est, Region Grand Est, Ardennes Department, Charleville-Mézières city council and Ardenne Métropole), of its numerous private partners, of its invaluable volunteers and… of you, the public!
