Call for residency in crèche

The artistic crèche is a first-of-its-kind concept in France, the fruit of a unique collaboration between actors of the early childhood sector: CAF des Ardennes, Crèche Les Moussaillons in Mouzon, Crèche Le Berceau d’Arthur at Charleville-Mézières, Crèche Le Cocon in Sedan, Festival Mondial des Théâtres de Marionnettes.
This is an opportunity for artists to create and experiment in contact with children, as part of a “research-creation” dynamic. It’s also a chance for toddlers, educators and families to get up close and personal with the material and develop a taste for art from an early age, which is essential for cognitive development.
This call for residencies is aimed at performing arts companies that are in the process of creating a project for very young audiences. Three companies working with puppets, objects and materials will be invited to take up residency for 15 days in a nursery in Charleville-Mézières or Mouzon.
